Apartment Maintenance Porter Technician I
Service Technician I | Windsor Fitzhugh - Dallas, TX
- Maintain interior and exterior curb appeal of the property including cleanliness of amenity spaces, common areas, parking lots or decks, maintenance shop, and leasing office
- Assist with weather related cleanup as needed
- Management of recycling and trash operations including trash chutes, enclosures, and compactor rooms
- Apartment make ready support such as painting, cleaning, and light maintenance
- Assist with Preventative Maintenance projects
- Support the company’s values and cultures by providing exceptional service to teammates and residents
- Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends
- Basic computer skills and smart phone use
- Ability to take direction and work independently through task completion
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs/ladders for extended periods.

Education: High school diploma or GED. Technical training or certifications in relevant fields (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical) preferred.
Experience:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
Experience ordering supplies, creating purchase orders, and processing invoices
Experience managing, scheduling and overseeing vendors, contractors and suppliers
Proficient in using hand and power tools.
Strong experience in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general maintenance repairs.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience and ability using smart devices and property management software.
EPA Type II preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date.
CPO (Certified Pool Operator) preferred or ability to become certified within 90 days of start date.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and climb stairs/ladders for extended periods.
Comfortable working in various weather conditions and environments.
